Tomorrow the official entry list for the 2010 world championship

As the final 24 hours approach before the release of the official FIA list for the 2010 World Championship, the eight rebel FOTA teams will gather once again in London. “I still believe that a reasonable solution can be found,” Mercedes representative Norbert Haug told German news agency DPA. Currently the situation is becoming tense and there is still a stalemate between FOTA and the president of the Federation Max Mosley.

Mosley wrote to the association this week, asking rebel teams to enter next year's championship without any conditions and McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh suggested to German publication Auto Motor und Sport that the association's response had been “very constructive ”.

However, Mosley's requests were not granted, raising the prospect that famous brands such as McLaren and Ferrari will remain off the official list which will be published on Friday. But according to some rumors, due to previously established agreements, Ferrari and Red Bull may appear in the June 12 document.

The possibility led Stefano Domenicali to issue a statement to the press on Wednesday, in which he insisted that if a commitment to the FIA is not reached unanimously "then the FIA will not be able to include Ferrari" in the list of 10 confirmed teams.

Even though there would still be 7 months left for the first race of 2010, there always remains the risk that June 12th will be the day on which a separation will have become inevitable.

“If there are ten (non-FOTA) teams on the list it will be a problem,” Ross Brawn said in Turkey last week. “So I hope – even if it remains a stalemate – there is a solution.”

Domenicali agreed: “We must find a solution as soon as possible.”

It is debatable who has the ball in their hands at the moment, but given that it was Mosley who proposed the change in the rules, the newspaper La Stampa observed: “Mr Mosley risks going down in history as the man who destroyed the F1.”
