Di Resta returns to the DTM with Mercedes
The Scotsman is hoping for a chance as an F1 tester
Paul di Resta back to basics. With the Circus door closed due to financial reasons rather than a lack of talent, the Scottish driver was left with no other chance than to resume the threads of discussion interrupted at the end of 2010 in the DTM, a series he left as champion, and get back into his beloved Mercedes.
“I'm happy with this choice – he said – My goal is to win from the first race which is the reason why the team called me back. As far as F1 is concerned, I don't think it's a closed matter for me. However, I am sorry that I had to leave due to other problems that have nothing to do with my performances. In any case, I will try to keep a window open, the brand knows where I would like to be and knows my experience, so I am convinced that I will have all the support necessary to perhaps combine the two things."
