De la Rosa: “Shooting tomorrow will be a priority”

The heavy rain that fell on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit blocked free practice for the Belgian Grand Prix HRT. Both Peter of the Rose is Narain karthikeyan they did not achieve timed times in the second session.

“I was surprised by the large amount of rain that fell during the day – were de la Rosa's first words -. We moved the morning session forward to avoid humidity. We did a few laps anyway, mainly to check that the machine and the system were working well. In the afternoon, with the track in even worse conditions, we decided not to ride."

“It's been a month since we last drove the car and the positive side is that I've managed to get rid of the rust and become familiar with the car again – he continued -. For tomorrow we have an extra set of dry tires and since we weren't able to test today, this will be a priority."

In the same vein is his teammate Karthikeyan who hopes to be able to make up for lost time and regain confidence with the single-seater. “Tomorrow they predict better weather conditions, so we'll have to take advantage of it and work with intensity: I can't wait to get to the track”he concluded.
