Dakar | Alonso analyzes the experience with Toyota: “It's helping me grow”

Interviewed by the newspaper El Confidencial, Fernando Alonso spoke about his experience in the Dakar, underlining how his passion for motorsport is leading him to try completely new experiences, such as the one in the Rally Raid.

The Spaniard, we remember, has signed a contract with Toyota and together with people like Peterhansel, Dainz and Al-Attiyah he will face the next Dakar. A completely new experience that will help him grow not only as a driver, but also in terms of personal knowledge.

“I find motivation thanks to my passion for winning”, said Fernando Alonso to the Iberian press. “In Formula 1 only one car wins and already in February you know almost exactly what the levels will be on the track.”

On his experience at the Dakar he added: “I'm obviously not on the same level as people like Peterhansel, Sainz or Al-Attiyah. It's not possible to improve that much in six months. The truly beautiful thing about this preparation, however, was the experience I gained not only as a driver, but also as a person. It's a totally different world."
