Coulthard official reserve for Red Bull and Toro Rosso

David Coulthard recently retired from Formula 1 but this weekend in Melbourne he will take on the role of official reserve for Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso. As the young driver Brendon Hartley did not obtain his FIA Super License in time, the 37-year-old Scot has been designated as a temporary replacement and will be ready to take action in the event of physical unavailability of the starting drivers.

Coulthard, who contested almost 250 Grands Prix between 1994 and 2008, will however be present at every race of the 2009 Formula 1 world championship.
