Counter-order at McLaren: yes to an official launch on January 7th

McLaren-Mercedes has adjusted its plans regarding the presentation of the new MP4-23 to the press and public. In a statement dated December 14, the Anglo-German team had made it known that there would be no official ceremony for the launch of the 2008 car, but Mercedes-Benz Motorsport Vice President Norbert Haug told the agency today Sid that a more traditional approach will be respected.

It is in fact expected that on January 7th, the Mercedes-Benz museum in Stuttgart will be the setting for a grand launch for the 2008 season, which will also be attended by Daimler boss Dieter Zetsche.
