Christian Danner: “Mercedes and Ferrari? They have the same final victory percentages."
The title fight will see Hamilton, Rosberg and Vettel battle
For former F1 driver Christian Danner, Ferrari has the same success rates as Mercedes in 2016. Danner, now a commentator on German TV RTL with 47 GPs under his belt in the premier class of motorsport in the second half of the 80s, believes that the words uttered in the recent past by Sebastian Vettel (“In 2016 we will attack Mercedes“) will be followed by the facts.
"After what Vettel said, a long and exciting World Championship awaits me. When the German promises something, he usually keeps his word".
Danner agrees with those who say that the Maranello team has worked hard to close the gap to Mercedes: “If I have to give percentages, I would say that the chances of success are equal between Ferrari and Mercedes. I imagine a three-way battle for the championship, involving Hamilton, Rosberg and Vettel".
