Chester: “Reliability should concern everyone”

Reliability isn't just a question mark for motorists Renault but global.

The technical director is sure of it LotusNick Chester who declared at Autosport: "I think everyone should feel worried because an engine problem can happen to anyone, the trouble is that to fix it you waste three to four hours and perhaps waste an afternoon".

Then on the possibilities of intervention during work on the power unit he explained: "Once approval is obtained, it is no longer possible to make updates regarding performance, however a review can be carried out to verify correct functioning and I believe that it is what all three suppliers will do even those with the most kilometers on their shoulders."

Finally, on the recovery possibilities of the team which appeared somewhat limping during the winter, he concluded: “The first races will be difficult, while some positive signs could come from the third. Much will depend on the speed of the French in finding a solution."
