They undoubtedly are hard times for the new management of Caterham. After the departure of Tony Fernandes and the necessary change of ownership, the team, which announced a major internal restructuring, the problems do not seem to end. But the team's response was not long in coming.

Caterham said the team is also doing well moving on the legal level towards former employees. Then yet another chapter. The Leafild-based team received a letter from those fired via the PitPass.com website: “The reason for the dismissal was following the change of ownership and as a result of the current financial position that the new owners have inherited. . The dismissal of Caterham employees was done without notice or consultation, which constitutes a breach of labor laws, breach of contract and will result in significant compensation claims,” the letter reads.

The lawyers' note continued: “Those who were dismissed on 15 July 2014 were advised in writing that they would be paid for the period from until the 15 July. Unless the position has changed, we are informed that those we represent have not yet been paid, either according to what would have been the usual deadline of 25 July. A response to this letter from Caterham is awaited."
