Change of program at Force India: the VJM08 on track only in Barcelona
Hulkenberg and Perez on track in Jerez with the 2014 car
Sensational indiscretion launched this morning by Auto Motor Und Sport. According to the German portal, very informed on the news concerning the paddock, Force India will not take part in the first winter test session with the VJM08. A rather singular choice given that the new single-seater will be presented tomorrow afternoon in Mexico. The move from Brackley to Cologne as the location for the wind tunnel tests would have offered the engineers at Mallya's Scuderia some ideas for improving the 2015 project.
Andy Green and all his staff will therefore have the opportunity to make the right changes to the initial project without running into the classic slowdowns of this period. Force India will only put the new car into motion at Montmelò and will follow a test program very similar to that used by Lotus last season. Hulkenberg and Perez, in any case, will have the opportunity to run in Jerez with the 2014 car.
