2011 calendar: Valencia awaits official announcement

A draft calendar for next season has been leaked but the source is absolutely not official. The preview, revealed by German television, features twenty world events and the moving of the Valencia race from June to the end of August.

This change, although completely unofficial, sparked a reaction from the organizers of Valencia. The race was in fact moved to June in 2010 to attract a greater number of spectators and not to interfere with the Spaniards' holidays. The experiment was successful and therefore the move in 2011 to August 28th was quite surprising and from Spain they let it be known: “We are waiting for the official calendar but after the conversations we had with Ecclestone and the FIA ​​during the grand prix, and subsequently, the the idea is to repeat the race in June again next year."

From Valencia they avoid comments and await the first official draft of the calendar which should arrive after the World Motor Sport Council meeting.
