Button: “They told me Alonso could return to McLaren”
The English rider revealed that the Spaniard could return to Woking
di Staff8 September 2013
The tense relations between Fernando Alonso and Ferrari continue to fuel transfer rumours. Jenson Button told Totalrace: “I heard an interesting rumor today. Someone told me that Fernando will go to McLaren” declared the Englishman from the Woking team.
“I don't know if it will happen, he didn't leave McLaren in a good way in 2007,” he added. “Let's wait and see,” concluded Button.
After Alonso's unflattering radio team address to the Ferrari wall - "You're idiots", then downplayed with an ironic "You're geniuses" - Eddie Jordan hypothesized short-term news on the Spaniard's future: "Fernando is not a happy boy" the former team manager explained to the BBC. “Perhaps we could see something unexpected evolve here.”
