Button has a secret to winning the world championship: staying relaxed

Jenson Button, McLaren driver and current bringer of the rear in this very narrow race for the world championship, is preparing for this stressful final of the 2010 F1 season in a very particular way.

The current reigning world champion has not won since the Shanghai race, which took place in April, and is 25 points behind the current leader of the ranking, the Australian Mark Webber.

We all understood that Button was a particular "type", but during an interview when he was asked how he feels about this championship finale he replied in all honesty: "Confident, relaxed and happy".

"It's the second year that I've found myself fighting for the world championship, when I signed for McLaren, I knew it would be like this and even if I'm a lot of points behind Mark, I still have all my chances to play."

Despite the difficulties of the English car both in Monza and Singapore (where it suffered from tire degradation), Button is very confident and foresees a possible and sudden recovery of the pace as early as the Japanese GP, the next round.

“It was quite frustrating to see that we weren't able to have the pace necessary to fight on equal terms with Red Bull and Ferrari, but we knew that in Singapore we would have some serious problems, so nothing new: in the races to come we could play every game our jokers."

Mark (Webber) is always the leader; Fernando (Alonso) has recovered thanks to these last two race weekends; Lewis (Hamilton), he's been out twice in a row and yet he's still fighting and Sebastian (Vettel) and I are really close.
