Bruno Senna: “Renault will return to its normal performance level at Suzuka”
Bruno Senna is confident Renault will return to its "normal" level of performance in Japan after a difficult race in Singapore.
Both Senna and teammate Vitaly Petrov struggled during the Marina Bay event, with Senna finishing in 15th place and Petrov 17th.
The Brazilian, however, believes Renault can be fit again thanks to the nature of the Suzuka circuit.
“We should get back to our normal performance levels here, like Spa and Monza,” Senna told reporters at Suzuka.
“We hope more like Monza. But yes, in Singapore it wasn't the best, but now we're waiting for this."
The car's poor form, the Brazilian admitted, in Singapore was a surprise for the team.
“I don't think anyone expected this level of competitiveness in Singapore, but it's a thing of the past now. Let's think about this weekend,” she added.
“We have a few upgrades on the car for this race and hopefully we can get a better performance out of the car.”
Senna also said he feels more and more comfortable with the car with each passing race, after returning to racing in the Hungarian Grand Prix.
“I think I have a good idea of the direction I can take the car to make it suit my driving style.”
