Briatore: "Renault will have different drivers in 2008. Alonso reaches 60%"

Flavio Briatore declared today to Gr Parliament that Renault will certainly have a different driver line-up in 2007. The Italian managing director revealed that Fernando Alonso "has a 60 percent chance of returning" to the French team.

While Heikki Kovalainen has repeatedly been indicated as one of the candidates to replace the two-time world champion at McLaren Mercedes, Giancarlo Fisichella's position also appears in doubt. Alonso's other options include Red Bull and Toyota.

“We have an advantage over them because we know him well. He will decide between today and tomorrow. When you are married and get divorced it is not easy to get back together" added Briatore, who defined Renault's summons before the World Council next month for a new espionage case, this time to the damage by the Woking team.
