Briatore-Ferrari: The rumors continue

The rumors continue that Flavio Briatore will join Ferrari as soon as his period of forced confinement from the world of Formula One expires.

In July the former Renault manager was seen in Maranello, the visit created a series of rumors and there was talk of a possible role as a consultant for Ferrari.

Now, according to the largest German newspaper, Die Welt, Briatore has visited Ferrari twice in the last week. Flavio was also present in Monza where he spoke at length with Montezemolo, chatting with John Elkann, Sergio Marchionne and paying a visit inside the Red team's garage.

A "commercial" role is hypothesized for him on behalf of the Cavallino as well as a possible and unlikely replacement with Stefano Domenicali, all with a view to 2013 when the suspension imposed by the FIA following the events in Singapore 2008 will expire.

In Monza Briatore was interviewed by Sky: “I arrived in Monza to talk to Bernie Ecclestone and then I will return to London. It's great to be here again, seeing friends and being in Italy. Ferrari is on pole today and everyone is happy, wonderful!”.

He then downplayed his possible return to the Circus: “I feel very good and I'm happy with how things are and what I do now. However, we will see what happens in the future. Next week though I won't be in Singapore, I will happily stay at home."
