Brawn in favor of the return of testing in F1
Ross Brawn he also supports the limited return of testing during the season, considering doing one session once the season has started.
Since 2009, testing during the championship had been abolished to reduce costs. While this idea was initially accepted, a return to testing during the season is now being called for.
“We are discussing it a lot at the moment, it seems that the teams are very much in favor of testing more or less shortly after the start of the season, to refine their cars and to correct any defects.”
“Practically, we would like to space out the winter tests between them and put in a session once the season has started, at the right time. This year we had four tests, but with little interval between them and you can't resolve many things like that, when you try to understand what a car is like."
“It's a very difficult and tense period, we don't have tests and the kids work many hours a day. The plan we are devising is certainly better."
