Brawn: “Comparison with Red Bull is a stimulus to progress”

A few races from the end of the championship Ross Brawn takes stock of what was a 2013 full of ups and downs for his team.

“The greatest commitment of Mercedes in the project it allowed us to make some more investments both in terms of personnel, vehicles and structures, in particular with regards to the wind tunnel – explained the team principal to Autosport – However, having more money does not always mean making a good work, but fortunately we were able to make the best use of it. If we compare our performances with those of 2012 it is clear that a step forward has been made and this is what we want to do next year too. In general I think we are getting closer to the Red Bulls, although looking at the progress from Spa it seems that they have progressed a lot, while we have slowed down, especially on the flying lap. It's frustrating, but at the same time it's an extra incentive to keep pushing."
