Branson loses bet with Fernandes

At the end of the season it's not just the big teams who are dealing: the Virgin Racing boss, Richard Branson, has lost the bet with Tony Fernandes, owner of Lotus and will be forced to pay a singular penalty.

At the beginning of the year the two team bosses, also owners of two airlines, had bet on which of the two teams would place better in the constructors' championship. The boss of the losing team would act as a stewardess on a plane belonging to the winner's company. Both teams ended the season with zero points but Lotus are further ahead in the standings due to their better placings.

Branson will be forced to fly as a stewardess for Air Asia in a skirt and high heels.

Fernandes said that the date of the event has not yet been decided but the flight tickets will be put on sale and the proceeds will go to charity.

Fernandes: “The flight will be London-Kuala Lumpur, we already have a uniform and a badge ready for him that says: Richard Branson, Flight Attendant. I'm curious to see him with shaved legs."
