For the McLaren manager there will be no conversion to the 2015 project

Boullier: “In Austria and England we will see progress”

Despite yet another disappointing result achieved by Button and Magnussen in Spain Eric boullier he prefers not to give up on McLaren and when talking about the nearest appointments he shows optimism.

“It's true that we are behind, but our development pace is good – he stated to Autosport – In Monte Carlo and Canada we will find particular layouts where in any case we shouldn't be too penalized given the discreet balance of the MP4-29 in the slow sections, however we will be able to see the results of the recovery better in Austria and England. With this I am not saying that we will win, but that our gap will be smaller."

Then on the possibility of abandoning the 2014 project if things don't improve at Silverstone, the racing director continued: "I don't think so, also because with the new rules we can't make much use of the wind tunnel, however we could decide to convert to a concept more radical."
