Boullier: “We're shooting ourselves”
For the McLaren manager there is too much self-criticism in F1
In the same way as Mercedes which, through bosses Lauda and Wolff, had recently urged the Circus to do greater self-promotion through the use of social networks, McLaren too, through the mouth of the wall manager Eric Boullier, invites the experts to focus less on finger against F1 2.0 to attract more following and important new markets.
“At the moment we are just shooting ourselves in the foot – he told Autosport – Everyone, internally, is raising criticism while so far we have experienced eventful races almost every weekend. With so many countries interested in entering the calendar, the objective should be to push and support changes because it is nice to see a sport expanding into new territories. In my opinion we should invest in technologies and increase public involvement."
