Bottas: “The second row here isn't bad at all”

Second row and third place for Valtteri Bottas in the qualifications of Sochi, behind the two Ferrari and in front, once again, of the Mercedes of his boxing partner Hamilton. The pilot of Silver Arrows, winner of pole in Bahrain, failed to grab a single one Ferrari, but he is confident in the start to turn the situation around and aim for the podium.

“I think clearly the Ferrari, as can be seen from the result, today was faster – he commented Bottas -. We got close to the end, but not close enough, and honestly all weekend they were in front and managed to extract a lot more, especially from the ultrasoft tyres."

“Yesterday we were struggling a lot, today we improved but not enough yet. However, it was good teamwork that allowed us to get very close and occupy the second row. As always, however, tomorrow is the day that really counts and I think that starting here from the second row is not bad at all: the road to get to Turn 1 is very long", concluded the Finn.
