BMW firmly denies rumors of its return to F1
For Ecclestone it seemed almost obvious given the new regulations starting from 2014
di Chiara Rainis20 May, 2013
BMW responds decisively to the rumors coming from Bernie Ecclestone according to which the German group is close to returning and through the motorsport boss Jens Marquardt he said: “I don't know who he spoke to. We are fully engaged with success in the DTM, as well as in the GT, the ALMS and the sports programs for owners of our cars, therefore we have no intention of looking elsewhere. When we retired from F1 we did so consciously wanting to orient ourselves towards what our customers recognized as our brand. I don't understand why we should change when everything is working. Could this be the right time to return due to the change in regulations? Maybe for Honda who decided to do it, but we don't care."
