BMW Sauber: Kubica in the top 10 in qualifying in Brazil, Heidfeld at the back

Robert Kubica (eighth, Q3 – 1m 20.631s):
"The conditions in qualifying were very difficult. At one point there was so much water on the track that the car was almost undriveable. Fortunately, after the break, the conditions improved a little. We are running with little load, which obviously makes the situation delicate in these conditions. To my surprise, the car was very competitive in very wet conditions, and was more difficult to drive with less water. I had a lot of understeer. The car has a set up for a dry track, so we'll have to see what the weather is like tomorrow."

Nick Heidfeld (19th, Q1 – 1m 25.515s):
"It's certainly very annoying to go out in Q1, but I simply didn't have a chance. We certainly knew that it would rain in qualifying and we raised the car, but it wasn't enough due to all the water on the track. With a car of In F1 there are not only aquaplaning problems with the tyres, but also with the surface. We weren't driving, but swimming. At the end of Q1, when I put on new tires the conditions got even worse, which certainly didn't help."
