BMW Sauber: the weather slows down Kubica on the second day at Silverstone
Two factors brought forward the end of testing on the second day at Silverstone for Robert Kubica. It wasn't a problem with his BMW Sauber F1 08 but rather the typical English weather which saw the arrival of wind and showers of rain which prevented the team from carrying out aerodynamic tests. Furthermore, testing restrictions, which limit each team to 30.000km and 300 sets of tires per year, meant the team ended its day at 17.00pm yesterday. The planned program has been completed and part of the test also involved the Bridgestone tires for the British GP.
Nick Heidfeld will ride today for the third day of testing. The team is now hoping for more clement weather for Nick who will have tests scheduled for mechanical and aerodynamic innovations as well as work on the tires for next week.
