BMW Sauber: Heidfeld sixth in Suzuka, Kubica on the edge of the points

Nick Heidfeld, sixth:
"Today was not our lucky day. I am very disappointed with this result. Fourth place was within our reach but several things went wrong today, especially at the second pit stop when the right rear wheel nut got stuck. But I certainly don't want to complain. These things happen and we usually make excellent pit stops. That's why I lost a position to Kimi, and I came back into the race behind him. When the safety car came in I lost another position to the advantage of Nico, who was lucky to refuel while the safety car came into action."

Robert Kubica, ninth:
"The whole weekend was unlucky for me. Yesterday I wasn't able to show my good pace due to the red and yellow flags. Today I got stuck in traffic a couple of times. I also lost a lot of time at start of the race with a heavy and understeering car. Once the car got lighter I got into my rhythm and was quite fast. I was then very unlucky at my first pit stop, as both Kimi and Nick stopped after They were ahead of me. That cost me time. Also after the safety car I found myself in traffic, stuck behind Jenson. I was faster than him in the corners, but I wasn't able to overtake him as we were missing a some top speed on a straight line."
