Yesterday, on the second day of testing in Barcelona, Nick Heidfeld concentrated once again on the set-up for the Spanish GP, the next round of the 2008 F1 World Championship. The BMW Sauber team tested several options and made good progress with the development of the F1.08. Another focus of the test was tire development in preparation for the next race.
As on Monday, several teams tested their cars again with the 2009 slick tyres, thus setting better times. The BMW Sauber F1 Team remained with the 2008 specification for the entire session. Heidfeld completed a total of 203 laps (945 kms) in the last two days without significant technical problems, thus giving the engineers the opportunity to collect important data.
From today Robert Kubica will be on track and the team's tests will continue tomorrow.
