BMW Sauber F1: Disappointment with Kubica's retirement a few laps from the finish line

Nick Heidfeld (POS11):
"Today the outcome of the race is very disappointing for me. I had a good start and was able to gain positions. My strategy was promising. Unfortunately, when braking for the first corner, someone touched me and I ruined the tires and the front wing, but the damage was much more serious. Thanks to KERS I managed to defend my position with a slow car. In the end, given the position, it's not so important to finish 11th or 13th."

Robert Kubica (POS15):
"What a disappointment! I had the chance to win this race because Jenson Button and Sebastian Vettel had problems with the soft tires while I was on the hard ones and was able to push. Unfortunately in trying to overtake Vettel we touched each other and I ruined my front wing and hit the wall in Turn 5. I think Sebastian was too optimistic. He didn't have the chance to defend his position because I was much faster. We both had a great weekend but we're leaving Melbourne without points. It's really a shame. My car was very good especially in the second stint when I put together good lap times."
