BMW: Problems with the new diffuser

It is not yet certain whether BMW will have the new double-decker diffuser for the race in Spain. “It hasn't been decided yet whether we will have him or not,” team boss Mario Theissen told German sports daily Bild. The Bavarian team has had a tough start to the season and hopes that the updates in Spain will lead to more positive results. According to Bild, the team's designers came up with a double diffuser for the car, but computer simulations cast doubt on its effectiveness. The drivers, including Robert Kubica, who has not yet managed to score any points in the championship, are not optimistic. Al Bild the Pole said: “We will make some progress in Barcelona, ​​but it is unlikely to be great.” His teammate Nick Heidfel added: “We went through the first four races without any major changes to our car, while the other teams constantly updated their cars and got ahead of us.”
