Barrichello restarts from IndyCar?

It is difficult to give up the thrill of racing, the emotions and the scent of the challenge on the track for those who have made this passion their profession. It is the case of Rubens Barrichello who after 19 seasons in Formula 1 finds himself without a steering wheel.

Williams has, in fact, chosen to focus on the Brazilian's youngest compatriot, Bruno sennaWhich, together with Pastor Maldonado he will race for the Grove team. Barrichello, however, does not intend to back down yet and is ready for new adventures.

At 39, the South American driver will start from IndyCar again (or at least he will try) e he will do it next week in Sebring, Florida, where he will test a single-seater, the Dallara of the KV Racing Technology team. It was his long-time friend, Tony Canaan, who already runs in that team, to convince him.

For now it is a test, a sort of approach to the world of American F1, but it is not excluded that it could become a reality for Barrichello. In the event of a positive outcome of the test, it would remain to be decided which races the Brazilian will participate in. The wife of the former Ferrari driver, in fact, does not want her partner to run the four oval events scheduled in the calendar due to the high risks (remember the disappearance of the Englishman Dan wheldon last October). Therefore, the Paulista driver could compete in the remaining eleven stages of the championship.

“I still want to run – Barrichello wrote on his Twitter profile in the meantime -. As an old friend of mine said, I have racing in my blood".
