Barrichello narrows the title fight between Alonso and Vettel

He no longer races in Formula 1, but his heart is still there, in the circus, which he follows from a distance and to which he hopes to be able to return. We are talking about Rubens Barrichello, in its first season in IndyCar after twenty years spent in F1. A world that the Brazilian misses and to which he does not close the doors.

“I think there is still a way to get back into Formula 1, I don't think of IndyCar as a last professional resort. I drive because I like to run. My heart beats for the Circus and I can't help but think of a return – he explained to the foreign press -. Don't get me wrong: I'm happy to be able to drive in the United States, I don't consider myself a victim, but I think it was a shame to end the marriage with Williams, not just for me, for them too. It would have been a great year together. They would have benefited from my presence, I could have helped them train new talents. Sin".

For now Rubinho, who in recent days has not hidden a possible farewell to the KV Racing team in which he currently races, is not a protagonist but limits himself to acting as a spectator and as such expresses his opinions on the fight for the title. Fernando Alonso in recent days he had identified in Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton the main opponents. Barrichello, however, narrows the fight between the Ferrari driver and the Red Bull driver by excluding the British driver McLaren.

“Fernando is going through the best moment of his career and despite not having the best car he is getting the most out of his Ferrari - commented -. The first part of the season didn't go very well for Sebastian, but I'm sure he will recover after the break, starting from Spa, where Ferrari probably won't be favoured.".

The former Ferrari driver, therefore, also excludes the other Red Bull driver, Mark Webber, from the fight to the world title. Yet the Australian is second with two points ahead of Vettel, 40 points behind Alonso who leads with 164 points. At the foot of the virtual podium is Hamilton, fourth with 117 points, five points behind Vettel. The World Championship is not over yet, in a couple of weeks the circus will get back on the move and leave from Spa for the Belgian Grand Prix. The show goes on.
