Barrichello: “For me it's natural to stay in F1 with Williams”

Rubens Barrichello hopes to renew his contract with Williams and play his 19th consecutive season in F1. At Spa in two weeks, the Brazilian will celebrate his 300th Grand Prix, but he is currently contracted to race only until his 306th race in November. However, there are strong signs of a renewal with the Grove team for 2011.

“We are already working together on the 2011 car,” the 38-year-old told the Brazilian press. “So I think the contract renewal process is natural,” Barrichello added. “The team used me in the best way possible. At Williams we have 100% confidence in talking about the car now. From the moment we chose this path, especially in the wind tunnel, everything improved" added Barrichello.

“It's difficult to say when Williams will win again, but the trend this year has been truly remarkable. The greatest pride is that my information was not only useful to me but also to my teammate. We are on the right path,” he added.
