Barrichello: “Williams needs me as much as I need them”

Rubens Barrichello has denied he is thinking of leaving Williams.

In recent days some media have reported that the veteran Brazilian driver is frustrated with Williams' results and wants to leave, with German drivers Adrian Sutil and Nico Hulkenberg set to take his place in 2012.

“I read some news that says I want to stop racing,” the 39-year-old driver told his millions of Twitter followers, “it really makes me laugh.”

“All I want is to keep running.”

Barrichello is the most experienced driver in the history of F1, and has reiterated that he wants to stay at Williams.

“We are working to have a good car for next year. Problems exist and we are here to solve them. Williams needs me as much as I need her,” she said.

“And to be honest I told Williams that if they offered me a two-year contract I would have signed straight away.”
