Autodromo Monza, Confidence in SIAS President Dell'Orto revoked

La SIAS extension, the managing body of the Monza racetrack, has revoked its confidence in the President Andrea Dell'Orto and appointed as a replacement Pierlorenzo (Peter) Zanchi.

The decision was made by the members meeting on Wednesday 27 April who were critical of the economic results produced by the management (1,4 million in liabilities, increase in costs, compensation of 80 thousand euros for the manager, difficulties in communication with Acm, new expensive initiatives ).

In response, the interested party rejected the accusations, promising to appeal. “The reasons are non-existent – ​​he said – In one year we have improved the company's accounts starting from a disastrous economic situation. The 2015 budget, which closed with an increase in revenues of 5,2 million euros, +18% compared to 2014, and with a loss more than halved. Our work has always been transparent. Regarding the renewal of the contract with FOM, I did everything necessary both from an institutional and economic point of view to create the conditions to achieve the objective".

The board finally decreed the entry into the team of Maddalena Valli (Automobil club Udine), Alfredo Scala (ACI), Alberto Ansaldi (ACM, interim role awaiting the nomination of the municipality) and Paolo Longoni, international sports commissioner.
