The private collection of memorabilia belonging to Michael Schumacher is open to the public

Important news for Michael Schumacher fans. The family of the seven-time world champion has decided to open to the public the private collection of objects (which include karts, racing cars, trophies and much more) that belong to the most successful driver in the history of Formula One. The memorabilia of the Kaiser will be transferred to the Motorworld in Cologne at the end of next year, where anyone can admire them for free.

"The Schumacher family will allow all Michael fans to visit the private collection without paying anything – declared Sabine Kehm, historical spokesperson for German – consenting them to relive all the memories. This will allow you to bring all those spectacular moments back to life. The proximity of the museum to Kerpen and the passion for the world of motoring were two excellent reasons for starting this collaboration".

Kehm has not released any official news on the state of health of the seven-time world champion, who is struggling with a long rehabilitation phase in his Swiss villa in Gland following the skiing accident which occurred on the snows of Meribel on 29 December 2013.

"For us it is an honor to host Michael Schumacher memorabilia, bringing them so close to so many fans.", commented Andreas Dunkel, promoter of Motorworld in Cologne.
