F1 Bahrain GP cancelled
di Staff21 February 2011
The 1 Formula 2011 Bahrain Grand Prix has been canceled following the popular uprising and unrest in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The race, scheduled for March 13, was supposed to kick off the new F1 season.
The riot forced the organizers to postpone the race and the season will therefore begin in Australia on March 27.
“We must focus on issues of national interest and host the race at a later date,” said Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
