The confirmation came from the Capricorn boss, Carsten Schumacher, number one of the company that manages the historic German circuit: “At the moment we cannot say with certainty whether Formula 1 will return to the Nurburgring in 2017. It is possible to organize a Grand Prix in Germany but not under current conditions“, he underlined to colleagues from the SID news agency.
The Capricorn number one pointed the finger at Bernie Ecclestone: “The general conditions have changed significantly compared to the times in which Michael Schumacher raced, today's drivers they are not comparable to those of the past – he continued – With 90 thousand people in the stands we have much fewer problems paying the sums requested by Mr. Ecclestone”.
