The 2017 edition of the German GP is also at risk

Germany can stay quiet for 2016, but the same thing cannot be said of 2017, when observing the alternation with Hockenheim, the German Grand Prix will return to the Nurburgring. If just in the last few days the route located in the north of the Land Baden-Württemberg gave guarantees For the smooth running of the Formula 1 race in 2016 and 2018, big questions remain regarding the 2017 edition due to the same problems that forced the Nurburgring to cancel the most important event on the calendar this year too .

The confirmation came from the Capricorn boss, Carsten Schumacher, number one of the company that manages the historic German circuit: “At the moment we cannot say with certainty whether Formula 1 will return to the Nurburgring in 2017. It is possible to organize a Grand Prix in Germany but not under current conditions“, he underlined to colleagues from the SID news agency.

The Capricorn number one pointed the finger at Bernie Ecclestone: “The general conditions have changed significantly compared to the times in which Michael Schumacher raced, today's drivers they are not comparable to those of the past – he continued – With 90 thousand people in the stands we have much fewer problems paying the sums requested by Mr. Ecclestone”.
