The new Ferrari will also be equipped with a trim corrector

Ferrari has also developed a trim corrector, along the lines of that of the future Lotus, just approved by the FIA.

Ferrari, in turn, is awaiting the Federation's approval for the device, which appears to be the new 'status symbol' for the 2012 season.

The Lotus system is completely mechanical without driver assistance (and therefore legal), and acts during braking while maintaining the height of the single-seater unchanged, with obvious advantages on the adjustments that can be made.

Ferrari is therefore awaiting the outcome of the checks on its system, in order to be sure of being able to use it from the first winter tests scheduled for February.

In case of positive effects of the system on performance, the other teams will have to work to adapt to the new catchphrase.

Stefano Domenicali, on the occasion of the press conference in Wrooom, confirmed the contacts with the Federation by the various teams on the subject: “We are awaiting the response from the Federation to understand which possible devices will be accepted. In any case we are evaluating the actual positive impact on the performance of some of these. We are, however, awaiting the commission's decisions."
