Alonso smiles again

Got on the MP4-30 instead of Vandoorne, present on Tuesday, Fernando Alonso closed the last seasonal test session in Austria with a smile.

The pilot McLaren, seventh in the end with a best time of 1'10"718, completed 104 laps and worked on aerodynamics, testing some new parts including a shorter variant of the nose, bodywork, tires and power unit.

“It was a positive day – he declared – In particular I was happy to have accumulated quite a few kilometres, which was quite useful for us given the many problems we had recently. Between me and Stoffel we have collected a lot of information which we will now have to analyze in the factory, to try to make progress."
