Alonso: “Proud of Bianchi”

Animated by a sporting spirit on Sunday evening Fernando Alonso complimented Jules Bianchi, the true hero of the Monegasque match who, armed with an equal dose of cunning and luck, gave the first points of his life to Marussia.

“It's a fantastic result and I'm really happy for him because in addition to being part of the Ferrari Academy he is a friend – he told the media – We spend a lot of time together in Maranello, we play football, we go cycling and sometimes we share the journey to the racing location, so I am proud of this feat which could prove decisive for his career. I really hope to see him in a more competitive car in 2015 that will allow him to show his true value."
