The World Championship leader considers today's Free Practice sessions in Hungary to be quite inconclusive, as the long runs were not able to be attempted due to the rain
Alonso: “It's essential to prepare for Qualifying”

At Ferrari they have now christened it "Fantozzi's little cloud". wherever it goes, in Silverstone, in Hockenheim and today also in Budapest, the circus is plagued by the usual storm that ruins everyone's plans. This is why Fernando Alonso finished FP2 in fifth place in Hungary, but Ferrari seems to be competitive here too.

“What can I say, the usual Friday, at the end of which it is always difficult to make assumptions about how things will go in qualifying and in the race. It's even more so when it rains, as has happened in the last three weekends on the track", explained the world championship leader Ferrari driver. “Precisely due to the rain this afternoon we were unable to test the dry tires over the long distance but, at least, in the morning we managed to complete the work on the aerodynamic innovations that we had brought here to Hungary. It is now up to our technicians to carry out all the necessary analyzes to put together the best possible package for the rest of the weekend.".

Alonso completed 46 laps today, compared to Massa's 54: a total of 100 laps for the F2012. But the minds of everyone at Cavallino are on tomorrow, on doing well in Qualifying. “Here qualifying is certainly more important than elsewhere: it will therefore be essential to take care of every detail to prepare ourselves in the best way for tomorrow. The tire unknown? It's the same for everyone, like at Silverstone and Hockenheim.", commented the Spaniard.
