Alonso is the driver who gained the most positions on the first lap

It cannot be said that Fernando Alonso is having a simple season. With just a handful of points conquered when Formula 1 is already playing the second part of the season, the McLaren driver, however, can take a small satisfaction. The Iberian is absolutely the driver he has recovered more positions in the first lap of the Grand Prix held so far. Alonso made 22 overtakes during the first lap of the first nine races, with the exception of the Australian GP where the Italian did not take part in the race due to the accident that occurred during winter testing.

Despite the uncompetitive MP4-30, Alonso is not determined never failed so much so that he managed to get behind him the two Force Indias with Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez who recovered 14 and 11 positions respectively, Marcus Ericsson (10 positions) and, surprisingly, Roberto Merhi's Manor (9 positions).
