Alonso: “We have to take advantage of the start and every opportunity”
The Ferrari Spaniard was only eighth in qualifying in Sochi

Fernando Alonso is realistic at the end of qualifying for the Russian F1 GP. In Sochi the Spaniard from Ferrari did not go beyond eighth place on the grid.
“We lose in all three sectors, there is not a negative or positive point” commented Alonso. “Honestly the car feels fine, there's no understeer, there's no oversteer. If it were a test session with just us on the track it would be an encouraging situation but in reality we are simply slower than the others” he explained.
“Friday generated expectations, we realize that, but this is the real situation. Tomorrow there will almost certainly be only one stop for everyone, we must make the most of the start and any safety cars or opportunities that arise" concluded Alonso.
