Alonso: “I consider today to be my best race of the season”

The Spanish Ferrari driver, Fernando Alonso, crossed the finish line of the Austrian Grand Prix in fifth place behind 4 Mercedes-powered cars.

Fernando Alonso: “I think I can consider today my best race of the season, because finishing eighteen seconds behind Mercedes in a race without safety cars or particular events is a good result. Keeping Hamilton behind was impossible and fifth position was really the best we could have achieved, because the first four cars were faster and deserved to finish in front. We pulled throughout the race without any problems, and this means that step by step we are improving. Certainly the road is very long but the objective always remains to do well and earn points, each track is a story in itself and we will try to give our best everywhere."
