Alonso: "With the rain Monaco could be a nightmare"
Rain often levels the values in F1 but the two-time world champion, Fernando Alonso, hopes for a dry race for the Monaco GP. While many fans are keeping their fingers crossed to enjoy a great show in the wet, several drivers have already expressed concern about the combination of water, the dangerousness of the track and the absence of electronic aids.
"Last year we had a practice session in the wet and it was virtually impossible to drive the car, even with driving aids. This year it could be a nightmare, although I can assume a good result is possible due to the numerous accidents. I don't have good feelings about it so I'm hoping for dry conditions."
Nico Rosberg agreed with the Spaniard: "Last year the wet tires didn't work. If the same thing happens now we won't have traction control, it will be... interesting".
