Alonso: dinner with the doctors who followed him after the accident at Montmelò

On the occasion of the Spanish Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso will reunite in Barcelona the medical team that followed him after the accident at Montmelò during winter testing. According to what was reported by colleagues at El Mundo, the McLaren driver invited members of the Hospital General de Catalunya for a dinner over the weekend in Barcelona.

Alonso, who following the accident that occurred in winter testing at Montmelò, was forced to be hospitalized for four days, missing the first race of the season, in Australia, where McLaren replaced him with Magnussen, and then returning for the second round, in Malaysia, on the Sepang track. Yet, months later, there is still a veil of mystery surrounding what happened to the Oviedo driver, especially taking into account the fact that the official results of the investigation launched by the FIA were not disclosed: “I think the truth has been told about what happened to Fernando, it's just that there is always someone who tends to see the sinister side of things,” Ron Dennis told his colleagues at Sky Sport UK.

McLaren is preparing to compete in the Spanish Grand Prix and, if from a technical point of view the changes could be significant, the Woking team could present itself at Montmelò with a new livery, abandoning the silver, difficult to digest at Honda, which seems too reminiscent of Mercedes.
