Alesi: “The qualifying sessions we saw in Australia were fantastic”

At least there was someone who enjoyed watching the qualifying for the Australian GP.

Interviewed by Canal + in the phases just before the start of the race Jean Alesi he proclaimed all his love for the new elimination format every ninety seconds, already retired among other things, then pointing the finger at the top management of the teams guilty of thinking only of their own interests and not of sport.

“Personally I found Saturday afternoon's show fantastic except for Q3, which probably needs to be seen again. It is therefore ridiculous to have wanted to overturn everything once again” – his statement upon hearing the news that in Bahrain they will return to the old method.

“I am a great supporter of Bernie Ecclestone and especially of Jean Todt and I know well how they are trying to ensure fun and high competitiveness, however there are dictators, i.e. team bosses, who want to have the last word on every topic, forgetting about the good of F1” – the Frenchman's ruling according to which selfishness reigns in the Circus.
