Adrian Sutil hopes for a long-term future in Force India
And here is another team that seems destined to block its two "jewels" for the 2011 season too. After having witnessed the move, ahead of the drivers' market calendar, of Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull, Williams and Mercedes, also the Force India joins the merry band by promoting the policy of "the team that wins (or almost) cannot be changed".
While Vitantonio Liuzzi announces that he already has a valid contract in his pocket for next year, Adrian Sutil does not seem to have any intention of leaving!
"If the team continues to work and make such progress I could stay here for several more years, I have no reason to want to leave, I'm happy and it would be a dream to win a race with Force India, the team that raised me."
These are the words of the 27-year-old German driver, released to "Sport Bild": what can I say, Sutil was really "brought up" by Mallya's team, arriving when the team was still called "Spyker" on the occasion of his debut as fifth pilot in 2006 and subsequently as an official pilot in 2007 with the name of Force India.
The rumors surrounding Sutil are conflicting. His manager Manfred Zimmermann confirms that they are not doing anything to abandon the team because there is no valid reason to do so; former driver Hans-Joachim Stuck has a different opinion and sees Sutil ready for his debut in a leading team.
He deserves it: he consistently achieves good performances and seems ready for a great challenge. Only time will be able to give voice to our considerations.
