Aabar buys shares of Toro Rosso

Aabar, the Abu Dhabi investment company, may have given up its shares in the Mercedes team to buy a percentage of Toro Rosso.

It emerged this week that Aabar has sold his 40% stake in Mercedes to the Daimler group.

Aabar is already a partner of Toro Rosso, Red Bull's second F1 team, through Spanish oil brand Cepsa. According to Auto Motor und Sport, Aabar has bought part of the Faenza team.

“The percentage is between 49 and 61%” we read in the article in the German magazine. Toro Rosso has not yet confirmed.
