The FIA is aware of previous incidents of racism against Hamilton
The racial attacks suffered by Lewis Hamilton during testing in Barcelona two weeks ago were not an isolated incident. This is what was reported to the sporting authorities by Anthony Hamilton, father of the twenty-three-year-old British driver, who reported abusive acts by Spanish fans that occurred during the Chinese Grand Prix last October in Shanghai.
These are the statements made by FIA president Max Mosley in this regard Sunday Times: “Anthony Hamilton told me that in China some people have shown their racism; they were not local fans, but individuals traveling from Spain. If something like this were to happen again in Australia, arrests would be made and we would be able to know their identities, to prevent them from entering any other country in the future. We will do everything in our power to eradicate such phenomena. If, as it appears at the moment, there are only a very small number of individuals involved, it will be possible to remedy this immediately. Otherwise, we have adequate sanctions, which can go as far as the cancellation of the Grands Prix."
